Returns & Refunds Policy

As Tesco Stores do not sell the same product range as Tesco Outlet, items purchased from Tesco Outlet cannot be returned in our stores.

While we hope you’ll be happy with your Tesco Outlet items we understand you may, on occasion, need to return the item. This policy has all the information you’ll need to understand when and how you can do this.

I’ve changed my mind

We’d like you to be happy with everything you purchase from Tesco Outlet. Should you change your mind about your purchase please return the product, within 30 days of receipt, by opening a Return Request though My eBay. We'll be more than happy to offer a refund on receipt of the item.

PLEASE NOTE: Items being returned need to be unused, unopened, with any seals still intact, and in the same condition as received. Certain products will be exempt from the 'Change of Mind' clause for health and hygiene reasons. Please wait for us to accept your Return Request BEFORE returning your product.

The Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and insurance.

My item has been damaged in transit

We do our utmost to ensure our items are carefully packed and protected, however, sometimes damage can occur in transit. Once you have received your item, please ensure you check it for any damage straight away. If you are unhappy in any way with the condition of your purchase please let our Customer Services Team know within 2 days of receipt.

You can do this by contacting us through My eBay. Any damage reported after this period will not be considered as transit damage.

Terms of the Tesco Outlet Warranty

Electrical products will carry a 12 month warranty. This will cover parts and labour but will not extend to accidental damage, user misuse, general wear and tear or malicious damage. The warranty is not transferable and will not apply to any goods bought or appears to have been bought for trade purposes or business use.

Non electrical products carry a 30 day return period.

My item is faulty

Items we supply are required to comply with the contract. If they don’t, you have the following rights in addition to your legal rights.

My item has developed a fault within 30 days of delivery.

Within 30 days of receipt of the goods (or for perishable goods within their use by date, if sooner) you will be offered the choice of a repair, replacement or full refund. If your item develops a fault, please notify us via My eBay. If we agree an item is to be returned as faulty, we will send you a pre-paid postage label or arrange a collection at our expense.

Please do not return the product and request a refund of the postage.

We will offer either a refund, or a replacement product (stock permitting). The refund or replacement will be actioned once the original product has been returned to Tesco Outlet team for assessment and verification of the fault.

The fault has developed after 30 days but within 12 months of delivery (Electrical goods only).

From 30 days after receipt of the goods until 12 months, we will arrange for repair of the item under the terms of the warranty. Once the item is returned to us we will send it to our technicians.

What to send : When returning your item for repair please include any accessories you received with the item. EG remote control, cables, charger. Where applicable, please also remove any password/passcode or supply the information needed for the technicians to access your item.

If a repair is possible, we will carry this out and return the item to you. If your item is deemed beyond economical repair, we will offer a replacement (stock permitting). Only in the event of a replacement not being available will a refund be offered. The Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and insurance. The 12 month warranty starts from the date of the original purchase.

HINT: Always make sure you insure the item you are returning. In the event of transit damage, we will not be able to make any repairs and you will need to claim the cost of the item from your chosen courier. If you are returning an item, we would recommend taking photos of the item before you pack and send it. This will act as evidence of condition before transit should you need to make a claim against the courier.

If a product is returned as faulty but not found to have a manufacturing fault or if a fault has developed as a result of misuse, accidental damage or expected wear and tear, no product or postage costs will be refunded.

Items returned to us via collection or pre-paid label can take up to 14 days to be delivered back to us for assessment. Please note that it can take 3-5 days for any refund given to be shown in your PayPal account.

IMPORTANT

Hard drives and USB devices, laptop / desktops / netbooks / tablets. These items must be backed up before they are sent in for repair.

Any disks left in players or drives cannot be guaranteed to be returned.

The Tesco Outlet 12 month warranty applies to consumer purchases only. We reserve the right to reject warranty claims where the purchase is or appears to be for trade or business use.
