The majority of the items were originally films For over 40 years I have been collecting 16mm films.
Once cameras and projectors were developed in the early 1930s some firms realized they were the ideal equipment to go out and film machinery actually at work. The films that were made were very different from the typical cinema films. They concentrated on the machine and rarely used actors but the normal operators to operate the machine. The resulting films were then used to demonstrate the machine or technique at locations where it would not be economic or practical to to bring the machine.
Such Films were produced n small numbers . Now they provide a fascinating glimpse of old machines when they were in their prime sometimes even as prototypes.
