Cabinet Construction

All units are hand made using traditional cabinet making methods and techniques. The finest quality furniture grade pine timber is used for the fronts and drawers and is kiln dried guaranteed not to shrink or crack.  The sides and base  are 18mm MDF. The in-frame construction is securely fixed to the carcass by continuous mortise and tenon jointing to the sides and base of the cabinets. Drawers have dovetail joints at the front and mortise and tenon joints at the back. The backboards are 9mm V  jointed tongue and groove which are also jointed each side.

All shelves are removable. The doors are 22mm thick, again jointed using profiled door cutter sets. Every drawer bottom and door panel is solid wood, even in the curved units which come with curved plinth included in the unit price. The under mounted, soft- close Grasse runners are state-of-the- art for inframe kitchen drawers with adjustments up & down; side to side; back to front and in & out !

Chrome butt hinges with finials are used throughout and are cut into the door only to allow any unit to be used as an open unit if required. After removing the door you only need the screw holes to be filled prior to painting without a chunk having been taken out of the beading
