When replacing laces in shoes the best bet is to measure the old laces and buy according to that length. Below is a ROUGH guide to the lengths of shoelaces needed for pairs of holes in shoes but obviously this can depend on the width between the eyelets e.g. skateboarding shoes tend to be wider than running shoes.
For a really accurate shoelace length guide, check out Ian Fieggen's amazing shoe lace website which includes a calculator for lace lengths. Google "Ian Fieggen" and it will be top!
